Back to School Time

Does it ever get better?  Sending the kids off to school in the fall?

Getting a new groove established is a major process.

Back to School Time

I had set out to make this year’s transition more smooth.   I read my notes from last year.   I bought the school supplies the minute they hit the stores.  I planned the snacks and meals.  I had extra copies of their medical records.

Yet, in no time we are flooded.  Friends get placed in different classrooms.  Kids don’t always get the “nice” teacher.  New car pool lane rules defy logic.

You can’t trauma-proof this transition.  It is hardwired into the experience.

So freak away fellow Moms.  We will get through this.

As Sonny says in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel:

Everything will be all right in the end.
So if it is not all right, then it is not yet the end.

Still growing...
