Dr Singha’s Mustard Bath

One of the best ways to help my kids get regulated is to have them take a bath.  So I’m always on the lookout for great bath products.  I learned about Dr Singha’s Mustard Bath – 32 oz – Powder reading about Gucci Westman, a celebrity makeup artist and Revlon’s global artistic director, in the July/August 2012 issue of More Magazine:

Westman sprinkles Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath into a warm bath. “It loosens my muscles and really relaxes me,” ~ Gucci Westman

I ADORE this stuff!

Dr Singha’s Mustard Bath

I love pampering the kids and myself with Dr Singha’s Mustard Bath. I’ll warn you though – it’s soooo relaxing and addicting. It is a detoxifying bath and the instructions in back say to jump in a cold shower after the bath to rinse off.  I did that but could only stand it for about 30 seconds.  Then I went straight to bed.  Soothing.  Amazing.  Life-changing.  Holy cats, people.  You gotta try it.

I order mine through Amazon.  I can usually find a 32 oz jar for under $20.

On difficult school days, when my daughter seems especially flooded, she knows to just go take a bath while I get her after-school snack ready.

When PJ was little, melting down over twenty times a day, a bath was one of tools we used to help him calm down and get a sensory break.  To this day, I tell the babysitters that if he gets upset to offer a bath to help him regulate.

Baths with bubbles are great for refocusing.  Baths with Aveeno oatmeal are moisturizing.  But the best bath product hands down in our family is Dr Singha’s Mustard Bath.
