February 2014 Sweet Nothings

Hi Ho Everyone!

In the midst of my Spring cleaning, I found my February Sweet Nothing stash – notes and such from the kids – that managed to avoid getting tossed in the trash. (miracle!)

Anyway, here they are – I know they made my heart smile…

John’s 2nd grade class is working on character development. Here’s his bucket filler criteria…

Here’s the bucket dipper bullet points (loved the “sass off” comment. Here’s where you can tell he has older siblings!)

As an extension of this project, every kid in the class had to send a nice note to another classmate. John really felt proud of his note:

I like how she tried to draw his fresh buzz cut…

John also had a quick summary of Louis Braille in his backpack:

One day, I was trying to wrap things up in my office and I think I was just finishing a phone call when Emma handed me this gem….

Emma really pitched in to help PJ adjust to his new school. She made his lunches for about two weeks and I only found out later that she had slipped this note in with his first lunch.

Finally, PJ forgot the password to his iPod and he has needed it to get a reset. I kept forgetting to hook it up to my iMac and reset it. So he drafted this short request to light a fire. He got right to the point – with love.
