Mom’s Quick Caramel Frosting

Like the sun setting in the west, I can count on this recipe to consistently turn out and please company. My Mom’s Quick Caramel Frosting will be a recipe you come back to over and over again.  It’s an oldie but goodie.

Mom’s Quick Caramel Frosting

I start making this buttery frosting in the fall and usually set it aside in April.  It is so wonderful because it makes a box chocolate cake something very special.  Here’s the recipe (straight out of Gram’s recipe box).

This one is so easy I can ask the b/n (babysitter or nanny) to make it with the kids.

Here’s what it looks like when it is ready to go on the cake.

Emma is guarding the cake from her brothers…

The fact that more than one piece was gone before I could get a picture of the frosted cake is a testament to the fabulousness of this frosting.
