Receipt Sorting

Many Moms ask me about task ideas for their babysitter or nanny. I like to delegate tasks that lend themselves to autonomy, that can be stopped abruptly if needed, and that really benefit the household.

I think receipt sorting is a great task for babysitters. How do I set up this task for them?

Receipt Sorting

I think receipt sorting is a great task for the babysitter or nanny. It is a job that always needs to be done. I can get it ready to delegate with little prep work.

All I provide is a sorter & receipts. I have them sort the receipts alphabetically by store name.

Receipt sorting is a task babysitters can do while babies are sleeping or, even better, with the help of the kids. My kids love to organize receipts for me. I have the kids call out the name of the store the receipt is from. Even kids who cannot read, recognize store logos.

If there are no receipts to file, I will have the babysitter edit receipts by pulling out anything over 6 months old. When I get home, I can quickly go through the pile of old receipts and purge what is no longer needed.

Keeping my receipts organized makes it easy to track down a receipt for returns. I love staying current on receipt sorting thanks to the help from my babysitters.

Receipt sorting is a simple task and with a practical impact on home and office organization.
