Walker, MN ~ 4th of July Parade

We spent the 4th of July (2012) in Walker, MN.  They have a lovely little parade.  It was blazing hot, so we found the perfect spot….right by Dairy Queen!

This was the perfect spot!  Did I mention that already?

There is a little grove of trees with picnic tables to have lunch right next to DQ.    A little cul-de-sac behind this spot made parking and loading/unloading a breeze!  It really was a genius find.

The parade starts…

Everybody gets a little flag.

A little guitar music.

Scoring some candy!

The parade lasts about 50 minutes.  There are many charming hometown entries.

A nod to our Norwegian heritage.

Patriotic Bikers.

Thank you Walker, MN for a sweet old-fashioned American parade.
